Hello

I am passionate about people and encouraging them to be their best. I believe it is my job as a leader to believe in people more than they believe in themselves. I am an extroverted optimist by heart. The glass is half full with me. I am a big advocate for positivity. I don’t ask you to ignore the negative things of life but I do challenge you to give it less power and control over you.

I have been married to my beautiful wife Morgan since December of 2017. We live in the beautiful state of Washington with our 3 dogs and 8 chickens. I serve as a full time Children's Pastor. I became a pastor in 2011 with my specialty being children and families. Children and Family ministry is the focus of my college degree. I became ordained in 2016.

Since 2016 I have had opportunities to speak at different camps, conferences, and consult. I am a believer in growing yourself and continued education (even self taught through books, podcasts, and conferences.) I am always striving to be a better communicator, better leader, pastor, husband, and follower of Christ.

Along with serving families in our faith community. I am a certified WISDOM Coach™ • I use the WISDOM System for Coaching Kids by Adventures in Wisdom™ to serve families in our community at large.

My Story

I have always enjoyed telling stories and being around people. I haven't always loved speaking in front of adults but I have come along since 2011 when I started speaking in front of a group of children and leaders on a weekly basis.  As mentioned before in 2016 doors began to open for me to travel and speak at camps, conferences, and consult. In 2019 I had an opportunity to do some speaking in Kansas and all the way in Japan.

In 2020 during the midst of COVID-19 speaking trips were cancelled. My wife and a few very encouraging friends suggested more than once about launching a Youtube channel to voice my perspectives. That quickly turned into a really fun hobby. It gave me a great creative outlet.

Life started to pick back up and I slowly moved away from that hobby. I was still writing, preaching and speaking. In the fall of 2022 I was encouraged to launch the perspective on a podcast platform. In 2023 my wife and I got to travel and speak in Kenya, that was incredible. Now we have a website for blogs, podcasts, eBooks, and the future of The Preston Perspective.
